to begin with...

Liberia is richer in resources than most countries I have seen around the globe, be it mining, agricultural potential, logging (and even tourism - in maybe 50 years) - and the only real reason that is holding a strong development back is the still prevailing corruption, together with the terribly damaged image of our Country.

Mercy Corps, German Agro Action (Welthungerhilfe), and many others are able to use a donated budget to help farmers, business and local organsations to develop and rehabilitate their activities - but it is all rather slow, technical, and 80% of our people don't know book (for non-Liberians: illiterate), let's not forget the problems related to get the daily food, although you might have hundreds of acres of fertile land, or a gold creek... i.e. no money to invest.

This blog invites prticipants to voice opinions that can help others to learn about the Country, and it will provide otherwise underpriviledged friends and aquaintences to get in contact with YOU.

Please join us in the effort to communicate and improve, revive plantations, go and talk to the right people, and share individual experiences for the benefit of all.

Thank you
